Eustace Prep’s Jim Brady and English Honor Society lead National Webinar

On Thursday November 5th, the National English Honor Society for Secondary School (NEHS) sponsored a webinar on “The Students’ Right to Read and the Common Reader.” The program was led by Jim Brady, Eustace Prep’s English Department Chair, and featured student officers Erin Sullenberger ’21, Jackie Reagan ’21 and Megan Lyons ’21. Jim and his students shared ideas about their work dealing with banned books and information from NCTE on the “right to read,” Additionally, Jim outlined the AP Literature unit of study he is planning that will incorporate The Nickel Boys by Colson Whitehead.
