MASTER THE TOOLS OF TOMORROW.

Bishop Eustace Preparatory School’s cutting-edge technology program prepares students to leverage leading tools in college and in their careers. Our university-inspired approach shows Crusaders the latest technological innovation in our classrooms — and reveals its impact on the world around them.

Preparation for college and beyond

Tomorrow’s leaders need to know what tools will impact their careers. That is why our faculty and administration constantly evaluate the latest innovations and seek ways to adopt it for our curriculum. From their first day on campus, Crusaders access a broad range of tools and guidance both in and outside of the classroom.

BRING YOUR OWN DEVICE

Our BYOD program enables students to bring a personal device to enhance their learning, rather than requiring them to learn to use a specific device or operating system. Upon registering their device with the technology department and gaining an instructor’s permission, students gain access to our secure Wi-Fi to complete in-class assignments as well as homework, projects, and assessments.

Our policy fosters a learning environment that mirrors what students will encounter in most colleges and universities. Crusaders choose the device that best serves their specific courses and personal preferences.

TECHNOLOGY IN THE CLASSROOM

Eustace Prep continually invests in technology across our campus, including interactive LCD touch boards, document cameras, and laptop carts equipped with course-specific software. Our data network delivers fast, secure Wi-Fi to the school and personal devices in every building.

Additional computer resources are easily accessible throughout the campus to help students fulfill course requirements. Students may also check out laptops from the library circulation desk at any time on school days.

ROBOTICS TEAM

The Bishop Eustace Robotics Team (BERT) empowers students to apply classroom skills to the real world. As part of the FIRST Robotics Organization, participants compete against other teams at the local, regional, and global levels.

The team is organized as a business corporation, teaching students how an organization works as a cohesive unit to accomplish set goals. Students work with teachers and professional engineers to build a robot by applying real electrical, mechanical, and computer engineering and design skills.

BISHOP EUSTACE TV

Established in 2008, Bishop Eustace TV (BETV) provides high-definition, campus-wide TV programming featuring student anchors who deliver our daily announcements. All students are encouraged to take part in the broadcast by recording and reporting on special events, on and off campus.

With the guidance of our moderators and cutting-edge editing software, Crusaders learn skills that often inform their careers. Former participants have pursued studies of communications, journalism, and broadcast journalism in college, and have gone on to work in broadcasting.

CRUSADER YEARBOOK, PHOENIX LITERARY MAGAZAINE AND EUSTACIAN NEWSPAPER

Crusaders with a passion for communications learn the latest editing and publishing software as part of our school yearbook and newspaper. Yearbook participants use web-based applications to design layouts and edit photos. The Phoenix Magazine is a digital-based magazine that exists for students of all grade levels. It is a place where a student can share poems, short stories, one-act plays, essays, as well as original artwork and photography with the Bishop Eustace community. Eustacian reporters cover campus events and issues of interests to them — then publish their stories to the myEustace portal.
